How it works
Calculates the final price after a discount and how much you save. It supports two stacked discounts, such as "20% plus an extra 10%", which do not add up to 30%: the second applies to the already reduced price.
Formula
final price = price × (1 − d₁ ÷ 100) × (1 − d₂ ÷ 100)
Example
A €120 coat with 25% off costs €90. With 20% then an extra 10%: 120 × 0.8 × 0.9 = €86.40, a bit more than a straight 30% (€84).
Frequently asked questions
How do I find the real discount of two sales in a row?
Multiply the factors: 0.8 × 0.9 = 0.72, so 28% off in total, not 30%.
Does it include VAT or sales tax?
The tool works with whatever price you enter. If it already includes tax, so does the result.
