How it works
Converts between degrees Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. Unlike most units, temperature scales have different zero points, so conversion combines a multiplication and an addition.
Formula
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32 · K = °C + 273.15
Example
25 °C = 77 °F = 298.15 K. Water boils at 100 °C = 212 °F and freezes at 0 °C = 32 °F.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum temperature?
